Why Summit?
Built on Experience.
Guided by Integrity.
We take solar seriously because we know it’s an investment in your peace of mind - whether that means lower utility bills or having reliable backup power.
That investment deserves skilled professionals who know the work firsthand and stand behind the results - not just the sale.
Summit Solar is a locally owned, installer-led company serving homeowners throughout Connecticut. Our team brings extensive industry experience where it matters most: in the field.
Our crew has worked with companies including Sunrun, Trinity, Tesla, Vision, Momentum, Sunnova, Venture, and many other Connecticut solar installers. That experience has given us broad familiarity with the equipment, system designs, and installation practices found on homes across the state.
It also means our customers benefit from more than the experience of a single installer. Summit is built around a strong network of skilled industry professionals, giving our customers access to experienced field talent and specialized knowledge when a project calls for it.
Our team also includes NABCEP-certified professionals and holds manufacturer training and certifications from Enphase, Tesla, SolarEdge, and Franklin.
The small details matter.
That experience shapes the way we approach every job.
Our goal is a system that operates safely and reliably but it should also look like it belongs on your home. Solar should complement the house, not fight it. Equipment and conduit should be laid out cleanly, thoughtfully, and concealed wherever practical.
But appearance is only part of the work.
Sloppy conduit, for example, doesn’t just look bad - it can allow water into equipment, compromise performance, and create safety issues.
A poor termination inside a junction box no homeowner will ever see can take an entire circuit offline or, in the worst cases, become a fire hazard.
That’s why we treat the hidden parts of a system with the same care as the array on the front of the house. Every bend, termination, connection, fastener, and piece of equipment matters because every component—visible or not—affects the safety, performance, reliability, and longevity of your solar system.
Understand first.
Recommend second.
The same standard applies when something goes wrong.
We take the time to understand how your system was designed, identify the actual cause of the problem, and explain it clearly so you know what failed, why it failed, and what needs to be done to correct it.
When the work is finished, you should walk away with more than a repaired system. You should understand what happened and have confidence that the repair was done properly-and that your system is ready to keep doing what you invested in it to do.
The knowledge to guide you.
The skill to deliver.
